Visitors are not allowed to climb the pyramids in order to avoid the deterioration of the archaeological site of Chichen Itza.
RECOMMENDATION: Due to the area’s high temperatures and humidity, visitors should wear light, comfortable clothes, preferably cotton blends, also a hat or cap, and sun block for protection from the sun.
Archaeological zone does not have adequate facilities or wheelchair access for handicapped use.
