Description:
Celestun is a small village located 2 hours away from the city of Merida, a beautiful paradise of the Yucatan coast where you will enjoy the nature and crystal clear water beach extensions, an ideal spot for swimming and getting relaxed under a coconut palm tree.
Celestun is home to a pink flamingo’s colony that represents a unique natural spectacle for the visitors. Once there we’ll take a boat ride around the mangrove being possible to observe lush tropical vegetation as well as beaches where the coconuts plant trees abound.
During this tour you’ll have some extra time for enjoying the beach while admiring the landscape and the incredible fauna that live there. At lunch time food is served by a picturesque ocean view restaurant called La Playita, where you can savor delicious fish dishes. Approximately at 4:00 p.m. we start our return to Merida after having enjoyed a wonderful journey.
INCLUDED: This attraction includes roundtrip A/C transportation from your hotel’s lobby, boat ride along the mangrove, lunch at La Playita restaurant with a menu consisting on: shrimp soup, fish in breadcrumbs or garlic-marinated fish.
NOTES: Beverages during lunch are not included, you can pay them at the restaurant.
RECOMMENDATION: We suggest you to bring comfortable shoes, light clothes, cap, camera, sun glasses, bathing suit under your clothes, towel, some extra cash for paying drinks during lunch.
